Mary Fahl

Mary Fahl is an expressive, emotional singer-songwriter who first achieved fame as lead singer and co-founder of the mid-1990s New York City-based chamber-pop group October Project, a band celebrated for their lush harmonies, sweeping melodies, and Fahl's unique and powerful vocals. The group released their self-titled debut in 1993 on Epic Records, followed by Falling Farther In in 1995, touring alongside acts such as Sarah McLachlan and the Crash Test Dummies.

As a solo artist, Fahl has written and recorded songs for films — including the theme for the Civil War epic Gods and Generals — and released albums ranging from Sony Classical to a full-length reimagining of The Dark Side of the Moon. Her recent releases have earned an Indie Acoustic Award for Best Live Album and a 2020 Independent Music Award for her holiday album Winter Songs and Carols, with her live show filmed for PBS.
